The Missouri History Museum is proud to bring the best of St. Louis' local theatre companies to the E. Desmond Lee Auditorium. The 2011-2012 season runs from October through March and features an exciting and eclectic mix of plays that tie into our history, exhibitions and mission. Know Before You Go
Limited parking is available adjacent to the Missouri History Museum. During nice weather, weekends and evening events, our lots are often full. Over 400 free parking spaces are available directly across from the Visitor's Center and next to the tennis courts (approximately one and a half blocks from the History Museum). On the weekends, it is also legal to park along Lindell Boulevard. Please allow extra time to park and walk to the Museum, or use the Metrolink to avoid missing the curtain.
Box office opens 1 hour before curtain. House opens 30 minutes before curtain.

Travel back to an era that's not as bygone as you might think, when Americans put away the cares of the world by reveling in the often-bawdy comedy, incredible variety, and unforgettable songs of the vaudeville stage. Written and performed by the West End Players Guild's Chuck Lavazzi and directed by Tim Schall, with musical arrangements by Neal Richardson with musical direction by Neal Richardson and Carol Schmidt.

With lively action, rich music, evocative costumes, and just the right amount of humor, Doug Cooney's Battledrum offers young people a compelling point of entry into the complexities of the war that divided our nation. Metro Theater Company's production climaxes with a stirring drum line performed by the entire cast. Recommended for 4th grade and up. School groups are invited to attend the 10am performances. Insight Theatre Company brings St. Louis' own Tennesse William's celebrated play to the Missouri History Musuem stage! The Glass Menagerie, an intimate drama of great tenderness, charm, and beauty, is set in St. Louis in 1938. Somewhat autobiographical, the story centers on Tom, a writer, his mother's influence, and the haunting memory of his sister, Laura.
